Global Sales and Projects Director

Our client is an international producer of intralogistics systems. The company offers fully customized (design to manufacture) automated solutions for several industries (comprehensive conveyors systems, innovative systems for sorting, controlling, and storing of packages). Thanks to research and development work, it constantly modernizes and improves the products to meet the requirements of Industry 4.0. The company has set a multimillion-dollar investment to increase production capabilities. Due to these plans, we are searching for a candidate for a newly created position:

Tasks

Management of the Sales Department:

  • Establishing a sales strategy. There is a need to define distribution channels (own and external sales network or building branches in other countries) and setting sales goals broken down by individual markets and product categories.
  • Setting goals for individual salespeople responsible for particular regions of the World and defining other KPIs for the department
  • Developing the sales skills of the team (several people), by external and internal training
  • Participation in key negotiations with customers and/or distributors
  • Managing participation in trade shows
  • Defining and executing marketing activities to support sales (promotion/advertising, PR activities, etc.)
  • Coordinating the sales department’s collaboration with the technical department (application engineers supporting sales)
  • Responsibility for pricing policy
  • Identifying market opportunities (new markets, new products) and initiating the development of new products
  • Estimating risks and threats (contracts, contractual penalties, risks related to supply chain continuity)

Management of the Project Department:

  • Developing a process/scheme for project management
  • Establishing KPIs for the department of several project managers (time, budget, etc.)
  • Managing the methodology of projects’ execution
  • Ongoing monitoring of the status of project execution – close cooperation with the production department
  • Coordination of activities between the project department and the sales department (project estimation, assessment of opportunities and risks in project implementation)
  • Organizing external and internal training to improve the skills of the staff under supervision
Requirements
  • Several years of experience in a similar position in a project-based production company – selling tailor-made solutions
  • University degree (preferably technical)
  • Experience in sales in international environment
  • Strategic mindset
  • Practical knowledge of project management methods
  • Fluent English
