Our client is an international machine equipment manufacturing company. It has over 10 production plants across the Globe and is recognized as an important player within the market it competes on. The annual turnover exceeds 500 mln Euro. Due to development of business intelligence role within sales department on a global level we are searching for an exceptionally skilled candidate for a position:

Pricing Analyst (global contracts department)

Location: home office (mainly) + Dąbrowa Górnicza (occasional business trips)

Tasks

Pricing Analyst is an analytical business supporting role, focused on building price excellence by processing complex internal and external data, analysing market prices, margins and profitability, in order to determine optimal and competitive pricing for key customers.

 

Detailed duties

  • Analysing complex sales, prices and revenue data from the Data Warehouse and other sources with a focus on profitability
  • Comparative Pricing analyses for selected geographies, segments, products, customers and/or competitors
  • Creating and developing informative pricing overviews and reports, providing useful insights and giving a support to decision makers
  • Collecting data from Affiliated Companies in order to assess specific pricing cases
  • Collecting and analysing competitors’ prices in order to provide a valuable input for creating an attractive and competitive offer to key customers
  • Price benchmarking
  • Performing price and margin analyses in order to support business initiatives
  • Helping to identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability throughout pricing strategies
  • Data collection and analysis for Global Business and Price surveys and industry benchmarks
  • Supporting the special Pricing Project and Transfer Prices analyses
  • Supporting in developing a complex pricing models for global customers
Requirements
  • Experience on a similar positions (analyst/controller), preferably in sales/business controlling or financial analyses
  • Studies in economics or business management (controlling and/or marketing) or data analyses
  • Fluent in English (oral and in written) – all reports are in English which is a corporate official language
  • Business partnering requests a lot of soft skills: not only a “number’s cruncher” – communicative, persuading/right to the point
  • Business understanding/commercial sense
  • Excellent Excel practical knowledge (VBA not required)
  • Experience with of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Cognos) will be an asset
