Process Engineering Manager – Chief Technologist

Our customer is an international manufacturer with over 100 years’ history. The consumer goods offered by our customer are mainly made of plastics related materials. One of its production plants employing nearly 1000 people is located in Poland. The factory is continuously developing - several hundred new SKUs are launched every year. The company has recently introduced a 2-years investment plan which will result in the World biggest factory in its the industry in terms of production capacity. Due to that plan we are looking for an experienced professional for the below position:

Process Engineering Manager – Chief Technologist

Location: Greater Poland District, appr. 80 km south from Poznań

Tasks
  • Lead teams of production technologists and R&D engineers
  • Initiate, lead or supervise manufacturing optimizations projects referring to especially to the technological process
  • Coordinate new product implementation process which requires not only projects supervision within subordinate team but also cooperation with engineering, maintenance, production, quality and sales/marketing departments
  • Investigate major process disturbances which have an influence upon quality and find solution to them
  • Analyze the costs and benefits of the actions to be undertaken
  • Prepare business cases regarding investments, payback time etc.
  • Establish procedures to prevent claims
  • Carry out research on new technologies when necessary
  • Analyze and set up OEE data and define priorities
Requirements
  • Experience on a similar position, preferably in one of the following industries: plastics, chemical, cosmetics, pharma or similar
  • Ability to connect technology, equipment, raw materials, processes and people
  • Proven experience and achievements in technology improvement projects
  • Excellent managerial skills (coordination of multiple projects)
  • Dynamism and proactive approach
  • Financial understandings, calculations, costs analysis
  • English language command, min. upper intermediate / B2
  • University Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant education
