Key Account Manager (country level)

Our customer is one of the largest full-range suppliers for intralogistics in the world. The company provides automated logistics systems and the range of the offer includes comprehensive system planning and consulting, IPMA-certified project management, turnkey systems and tailored service and maintenance agreements. Despite its long tradition (nearly a century) and considerable size (over 10000 employees) the company is very innovative. Currently, we are looking for a candidate for a below described position:

Key Account Manager (country level)

Location: Whole Poland in terms of cooperation with customers + home office

Tasks
  • Managing and developing sales across whole Poland in one of the following sectors (food and beverage; fashion; pharma; industry; retail – to be defined during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s competencies and preferences) – KAM is a crucial commercial role in a given sector as he/she sets priorities, analyses sales results, performs market segmentation or co-creates pricing policy
  • Acquisition of new customers – identification of key accounts, completing research on the prospective client’s needs, proactively approaching and visiting current and potential customers, presenting offers including complex technical solutions
  • Preparing offers in tight cooperation with the sector’s global technical support – a single proposal is custom made complex solution based on a thorough technical analysis and refers usually to substantial financial amount (several hundred up to several millions PLN)
  • Leading negotiations referring to various aspects of offered proposals (financial, technical, timeframe, after sales service, etc.)
  • Analysing and providing an in-depth understanding of sales results and plans, customers, competitors and technical aspects
  • Maintaining sound customer relations based on technical advisory and business understanding
  • Attending trade fairs in Poland or other countries
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar position in a company providing custom made engineering solutions
  • Technical university degree
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills enabling building excellent relations with customers
  • Practical engineering knowledge in field of automation
  • Good English command (min. B2)
  • Result orientation
  • Developed business understanding (financial and technical analyses, risk management, etc.)
