Our customer is an international FMCG manufacturer with over 100 years’ history. The company is producing various plastics related goods. One of its production plants employing nearly 1000 people is located in Poland. The factory is continuously developing - several hundred new SKUs are launched every year. The company has recently introduced a 2-years investment plan which will result in the World biggest factory in its the industry in terms of production capacity. Due to that plan we are looking for an experienced professional for the below position:
Head of Quality and Operational Excellence
Location: Greater Poland District, appr. 80 km south from Poznań (1,5h drive), 90km north from Wrocław (1h drive)

Tasks
- Overall quality responsibility with strong focus on a principle that “quality should be produced not controlled” – this implies deep engagement in various manufacturing processes that all combined make the final quality perceived by the customers
- Identification and solving of quality issues using various modern techniques, e.g.: 5Why, Ishikawa diagram, 8D, etc.
- Initiating improvement programs aimed to permanent/continuous prevention of defects – zero DPPM policy
- Tight cooperation with production, process engineering, marketing and sourcing departments – solving problems and developing quality culture in line with World Class Manufacturing methods
- Supervise and adjust quality control procedures followed by analytical work
- Leading and supervising various continuous improvement projects referring especially to technology and process engineering or product development
- Supervision over laboratory analytical work and building/organizing knowledge database of various tests and experiments
- Supervision over upscaling production from laboratory to full scale production process
Requirements
- Experience on a similar position (quality, technology, R&D), preferably in one of the following industries: chemical, food, cosmetics, pharma, plastics or similar
- Ability to connect technology, equipment, raw materials, processes and people
- Proven experience and achievements in quality improvement projects
- Excellent managerial skills (coordination of multiple projects)
- Dynamism and proactive approach
- Financial understandings, calculations, costs analysis
- English language command, min. upper intermediate / B2
- University Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant education
