Our client is an international machine equipment manufacturing company. It has over 10 production plants across the Globe and is recognized as an important player within the market it competes on. The annual turnover exceeds 500 mln Euro. Due to development of business intelligence role within sales department on a global level we are searching for an exceptionally skilled candidate for a position:

Tasks:

 

Business Analyst is an analytical business supporting role, focused on harmonization of market knowledge and intelligence related to the industry. Business Analyst collaborates with Industry Segment Managers by providing the market intelligence, customer overviews and know-how solutions.

 

Detailed duties

  • Collaborating with, and actively supporting Industry Key Account Managers with research data, feedback, and additional input
  • Generating industry specific content for Market Overviews and Sales Campaigns
  • Developing analysis of key competitors – on a global basis
  • Analysing the market, in key focus countries (ex. USA, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea), and other significant countries, including the local business trends, OEMs’ activities and competitors’ actions
  • Providing industry specific market research data by using the variety of tools: Internet, External Databases, Industry Associations and other internal sources available within the affiliated companies
  • Seeking deep understanding of customer, application and manufacturing processes relevant to product portfolio and value proposition
Requirements
  • Experience on a similar positions (analyst/controller), preferably in sales/business controlling or financial analyses
  • Studies in economics or business management (controlling and/or marketing) or data analyses
  • Fluent in English (oral and in written) – all reports are in English which is a corporate official language
  • Business partnering requests a lot of soft skills: not only a „number’s cruncher” – communicative, persuading/right to the point
  • Business understanding/commercial sense
  • Excellent Excel practical knowledge (VBA not required)
  • Experience with of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Cognos) will be an asset
